Cobeau Refunds & Cancellation Policy

At Cobeau, we believe flexibility and fairness are key to keeping our community strong. The following outlines how memberships, credits, and bookings are handled in the event of cancellations or refund requests.
Memberships
Free until your first booking
You can join, create your profile, browse, and earn credits without paying. Membership charges begin only once your first booking is confirmed.
Monthly memberships
- Billed at the time of your first confirmed booking.
- Cancel anytime.
- No refunds for partial months, but you won’t be billed again once canceled.
Annual memberships
- Billed at the time of your first confirmed booking.
- Non-refundable once charged, but you’ll retain full access for the remainder of your paid term.
Credits (Earned or Purchased)
- Expiration: All credits—earned or purchased—expire 12 months after the date they’re issued.
- Instant credit purchases: Final sale, non-refundable, valid for 12 months.
- Membership credits: Distributed monthly (or upfront, depending on plan). Each batch expires 12 months after issue.
Bookings & Cancellations
When a Pet Parent Cancels
- No penalties for pet parents.
When a Caregiver Cancels
Caregivers have a higher responsibility to honor bookings, since canceling leaves a pet parent without care.
- 12–48 hours before start
- Deduct 2 credits from caregiver’s balance (negative balances allowed).
- Reduced visibility in the home feed.
- Less than 12 hours before start
- Deduct 5 credits from caregiver’s balance (negative balances allowed).
- Reduced visibility in the home feed.
- A reliability warning appears on the caregiver’s profile.
- No-show
- Deduct 10 credits from caregiver’s balance (negative balances allowed).
- Reduced visibility in the home feed.
- A reliability warning appears on the caregiver’s profile.
- Repeat cancellations
- 3 or more last-minute cancellations within 90 days → account review and possible temporary suspension.
Exceptions
Cobeau may issue refunds or credit adjustments outside these rules in extraordinary circumstances (e.g., verified emergencies or safety concerns) at our discretion.
